What we store about you
Your account (name, email address, timezone and preferences), your workspace's watches, destinations and results, billing status, and basic logs needed to run and secure the service. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
Public content we collect
Keyword Sonar collects public posts and comments that anyone can see without logging in, from the sources listed on the Coverage page. We never log in to a platform, never bypass rate limits or bot checks, and we honor robots rules, platform terms and per-user opt-out signals (for example Mastodon's search opt-outs and Bluesky's logged-out visibility setting). Items are kept for at most 90 days. Authors can ask us to remove their content by writing to [email protected].
Processors
- Amazon Web Services (SES) to send email.
- Stripe for payments.
- Anthropic, only for workspaces that turn on acceptance rules: the rule and matched public items are sent for classification.
- Brave Search, only for web watches: the watch's query is sent as a search.
Retention and deletion
Results are kept for your plan's archive depth (7, 30 or 90 days) and then deleted. You can export your results as CSV at any time and delete your account yourself from Settings → Account, which removes your workspace's watches, results, destinations and members immediately. Encrypted backups that may contain your data are purged within 30 days. We keep a one-way hash of your email address to enforce one free trial per address.
